Milking Our Goat On Pasture At The Barn Property

Milking Our Goat On Pasture

One of my long time dreams, when it comes to goats, is to be able to sit o a hillside and milk a goat. I realized that dream a few days ago! It was a misty morning, the sun just breaking through, and the hill was overlooking the work the goats and pigs have been doing at The Barn Property. Unfortunately I didn’t get a video of that!

However, today, the Barn Property owner, Cheryl was there and did the following video of us milking …

We use our Briden Farm Goats, Pigs, Chickens, and Bunnies to help rid the area of invasive weeds, like Japanese Knotweed, Goldenrod, and Lupines. The animals do an incredible job, as seen in the photo above. Not only do they do a good job getting rid of weeds, the disturbance they cause the vegetation and soil helps to regenerate the land as is evidenced by the green grass that emerges after the animals pass through, as we rotate their pasture.

If you’d like more information on how our Briden Farm animals work and the results, we do have testimonials and would love to talk to You. Contact Brian at Briden Farm 902-907-0770.

One Glad Morning at Briden Farm

One Glad Morning

I woke to wagging tails, sunshine, birds singing, and decided to have my morning constitutional on the Lanai!

Ok, so the lanai was the bare ground outside our door and the furniture consisted of a simple plastic chair. It is said that a Lanai has windows and screens and provides a coveted indoor/outdoor feeling. Well You could probably write a Screen Play about it, but the only window was on a beautiful morning, and the Coveted feeling was one that comes in such places after a day of much needed rains.

Perhaps this Video captures it best…

Although, to be honest, video or not it was one of those moments, captured in time, when everything comes together to make an unbelievable experience! Birds singing, the sound of the River at the foot of the hill, mists rising in the trees, and a good cup of homemade specialty coffee, made with Watkins Extracts

Fabulous February Feeling Of Freedom

After nearly six weeks of being snowed in, 38 Days actually, our Laneway at Briden Farm is now open!

You might say we have the…

Fabulous February Feeling Of Freedom

How’s that for a mouthful!? The good news is that We were able to bring the truck up, and we’ve learned a valuable lesson! From now on we’re leaving it parked where we can get out if we get hit with another unexpected snow storm.

Oh, we know, there will be more Snow! More Winter Storms! We may even get snowed in again! That sounds likely, but, it still makes this warm, it was in the 50s here today! I much prefer using Fahrenheit in such cases. Saying it’s 12 or 13 Degrees just doesn’t cut it when it’s near 55 F. Not to mention there are only about 30 Days left before Spring!

So, for now, we’ll revel in our little victories, like being able to bring the truck up and park it near the house. 🏡

The photo above was taken today, 18 February 2022. If You’d like to see what the Laneway looked like, six weeks ago, click here to watch our Video on TV.BridenFarm.com

I really like this idea, for Business or Family! If I had kids, rather than have their friends tie up our family phone, or buy them a phone, tablet, laptop, etc. I’d just get a virtual phone number, like our 902-907-0770 and let each kid get a number, and have their own number and free up the house phone! Or, like our Farm phone, or my other numbers, I love Virtual numbers and have used them for years! So check this out…
