Une Tache (8 April 2003 to 26 April 2021)

Une Tache was a true family member, our daughter in many respects. Eighteen years ago, while living in Wellington, Yarmouth County, we went to Plympton, Digby County, to get a kitten. We came home with two, Une Tache and her sister Princess who passed about 7 years ago. Thankfully we still have Ti Gris, Une Tache’s 16 year, 7 month old, daughter. However, this has been a very sad evening for us as Une Tache has departed to make the journey across the Rainbow Bridge. I envision that Rainbow spanning a great River, and waiting there, for us, on the far shore, are all those pets we’ve had over the years! While last night, Une Tache slept the whole night with me, tonight she’s sleeping with her sister Princess. So, though Our eyes are filled with tears, and our hearts with sadness, tonight Une Tache and Princess are celebrating on distance shores! We will always miss You both, my Sweeting and My Sweetheart! 😉

Tom Our Berkshire Pig

Tom is one of two Berkshire Pigs we have at Briden Farm. He and his brother Jerry come to us just a couple weeks ago and have been doing a wonderful job of tilling up the ground, bringing the rocks to the surface, and preparing the hard ground for a garden plot. Not to mention helping to provide us with a great natural fertilizer! Plus, one of the quickest ways to do composting is to feed it to farm animals! So, We’re happy to have them, and I think you can see by this picture that Tom, and yes Jerry too, are really quite happy to be here too! For More Info: 902-907-0770

Holly Comes to Briden Farm

Holly Come To Briden Farm

We’re very pleased to tell You that we now have a Dog at Briden Farm! Not just any Dog either! As some of You know, I have been waiting and hoping for a Dog who just needs a good home! Perhaps one where her Senior Owners have reached the point where they just need a good home for their Dog. If possible I’d like that Dog to be a Little River (Nova Scotia Duck Toller) and Golden Retriever mix. We had two of these Dogs, one after the other, when I was growing up and they’re so great! So, kind of like when we asked for the impossible last Summer when God led us to our Homestead that we now call Briden Farm, I also have been praying for the impossible when it comes to getting a Dog! Well, with God things are never impossible! A day or two ago a friend recommended us as the potential new parents of Holly, and now Holly has come to live at Briden Farm and we’ve been able to help Her former owners, Seniors, and she is a Little River / Gold Retriever mix just like we asked for! So, Holly Comes to Briden Farm! The photo looks like I’m scowling, but it’s just my inability to take a good Selfie! I’m actually very happy! 😉
