I’ve long wanted to make soap, and now have finally made our first Bars!

Sample Bars to start, these ones with Oatmeal and Goat Milk. I’m told, as soap ages, or after it ages, it dries out some and tends to last longer. However, these little Bars of Oatmeal and Goat Milk melt with a luxurious sense of purpose and seem to clean and leave your hands feeling silky smooth. 

So, not bad for a first attempt!

A Magical Winter Wonderland at The Barn Property

First Snowfall at The Barn

We had our first snowfall of the season last night. While it probably means four months of hardships, harsh winds, and bitter cold, it also brings with it it own beauty. That beauty, the beauty of this magical season is captured in this post and video. As is the incredible work our Goats and Pigs have been doing over the past 80 days! It really captures well, the before and after!

Introducing a Saanen Buck Goat to our Briden Farm Doe Goats

I guess it was about four days ago when we introduced our Saanen Buck to the Does for the first time. He’s been with them ever since and last night we witnessed one of our Does, Millie, being bred. She should be due 11 April 2023. 

Hopefully the other 4 does that are in the pasture with the Saanen Buck will soon be bred also. If all goes well it’ll mean our having about 10 Goat Kids for sale during the Spring of 2023.
