Hi Five Pete

This past week we got a new kitten, and later that day we met a new family who come to visit us here at Briden Farm. Their daughter spent a few minutes with our new kitten and come out and said, “I called him Peter there times, and He Meowed! He should be called Peter!” Thus, his name is Peter, although we usually call him Pete!

Now, over the past couple of days, As You see in this video, I’ve been teaching Pete to do High Fives!

Come Visit Pete, and all of us, here at Briden Farm. To Book Your Visit, Call Brian now at 902-907-0770

One Glad Morning at Briden Farm

One Glad Morning

I woke to wagging tails, sunshine, birds singing, and decided to have my morning constitutional on the Lanai!

Ok, so the lanai was the bare ground outside our door and the furniture consisted of a simple plastic chair. It is said that a Lanai has windows and screens and provides a coveted indoor/outdoor feeling. Well You could probably write a Screen Play about it, but the only window was on a beautiful morning, and the Coveted feeling was one that comes in such places after a day of much needed rains.

Perhaps this Video captures it best…

Although, to be honest, video or not it was one of those moments, captured in time, when everything comes together to make an unbelievable experience! Birds singing, the sound of the River at the foot of the hill, mists rising in the trees, and a good cup of homemade specialty coffee, made with Watkins Extracts

Goat Therapy at Briden Farm

Eve: Our Saanen Goat

I wish I took more time to enjoy our animals and less time working to care for them! Not that caring for them isn’t enjoyable, I enjoy that too! However, as you can see in this video, time spent just “being” with the goats is very therapeutic! In a 2015 Podcast by Morgan Sherburne, of University of Florida Health stated, “To reduce stress, pet a goat”…

Along these lines, we’ve been considering offering time with our Goats! Not exactly Goat Yoga, but just time to sit and “Be”. Maybe trade a bag of feed for an hour with a Goat! Interested? Call Now: 902-907-0770
