Ok, so, it’s not really a Gingerbread Man! The prize is actually 3 Gingerbread Man Cookie Cutters! All You need to do is visit our new Contests Page and You’ll also find a Gingerbread Man Cookie Recipe Over There!
Not sure if these are a more dangerous tick, or less, or the same, but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen Ticks, Wood Ticks we’ll call them, this late in the year! Although I know people who are still picking garden vegetables and that’s unheard of too! However, I just wanted to let you know, so you can keep an eye on you and your pets and try to avoid tick problems. I’ve also never seen such tiny ticks, the whole thing makes me wonder!
So, it’s that time of year when we all have garden wastes, Halloween leftovers, pumpkins, squash, old hay and straw bales, etc. As it happens Goats and Chickens love all those things! So, if you’re wondering what to do with your old pumpkins and straw bales and so on, our critters would love to have them. You can drop them off, come feed them to our animals when we’re here, or we may even be able to come get them. We can also make use of your raked leaves and yard scraps for our compost.
Making Yogurt at Briden Farm is a great way to make use of our excess goat milk. We already make cheese, butter, cream, buttermilk, and whey, and today we made our first batch of Yogurt! I’m very pleased to say it was great! To be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of Store boughten yogurt, but this farm fresh yogurt made from our own Goat Milk is incredible! Flavouring Yogurt with Watkins Extracts is also incredible! (Click Here for more on that)
We used Watkins Extract to flavour it. We made some Pumpkin Spice because today was Halloween. We also made some Raspberry and I really liked the way it turned out! I even liked the Plain Yogurt which was a surprise to me! Here’s a video of the Yogurt we made…
