A Winter Walk for The Flock

A few days after our first major snow fall, when we were mostly stuck inside, our chickens were out enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather. It went from about -10 Celsius or 10 Fahrenheit to about +5 C or about 40 F. The warmer weather inspired A Winter Walk for The Flock here at Briden Farm in Bear River, Nova Scotia.

Neighbour Plowing Our Laneway

Although we were warm, fed, and ready for bed by a decent hour last night. We continued to stoke the Kitchen Wood Stove over night as we watch the first significant snow fall come down. We got nearly a foot of snow here on the Mountain, over looking the Head of the Tide, in Bear River, Nova Scotia. Which left us wondering how long it would take us to clear the quarter mile lane way!?

So, after the chores were done, and as we sat at the Breakfast Table, we heard a vehicle coming up the Lane!

It was our neighbour, plowing our entire lane and driveway! I know I’m a hopeless romantic, but this generosity really got me choked up, and maybe even a little misty eyed! We Are Very Thankful For Good Neighbours At Briden Farm!
