There are so many uses for Ash Trees it almost seems a shame to use them for Firewood, except that Firewood is one of the many great uses for Ash Trees!  One of our challenges here at Briden Farm, in Bear River, Nova Scotia, is we don’t have a tractor, quad, or wheeler! So, when it comes to cutting firewood, with my Stihl Chainsaw the real challenge is getting it out of the Woods! Here’s one way…

Neighbour Plowing Our Laneway

Although we were warm, fed, and ready for bed by a decent hour last night. We continued to stoke the Kitchen Wood Stove over night as we watch the first significant snow fall come down. We got nearly a foot of snow here on the Mountain, over looking the Head of the Tide, in Bear River, Nova Scotia. Which left us wondering how long it would take us to clear the quarter mile lane way!? 

So, after the chores were done, and as we sat at the Breakfast Table, we heard a vehicle coming up the Lane!

It was our neighbour, plowing our entire lane and driveway! I know I’m a hopeless romantic, but this generosity really got me choked up, and maybe even a little misty eyed! We Are Very Thankful For Good Neighbours At Briden Farm!
