At least it seems that way after our Girls have taken over the Wood Box! This old Steamer Trunk makes a great wood box, and with it set up by our Wood .stove, our girls just love that cozy feeling they get when they curl up here turning this wood box into A New Cat House at Briden Farm!

There are so many uses for Ash Trees it almost seems a shame to use them for Firewood, except that Firewood is one of the many great uses for Ash Trees!  One of our challenges here at Briden Farm, in Bear River, Nova Scotia, is we don’t have a tractor, quad, or wheeler! So, when it comes to cutting firewood, with my Stihl Chainsaw the real challenge is getting it out of the Woods! Here’s one way…

Recently while we were Cutting Black Locust Deadfalls along the lane at Briden Farm, we discovered this Dragon! The Dragon of the Black Locust! 

We’ve heard of Ancient Dragons inhabiting the far reaches of Nova Scotia’s boreal forests, but we were surprised to see this Dragon come out of this piece of Black Locust!
