Just thought you might like to see some of the wool after it’s gone through the initial Skirting and Washing Stages. It still needs cleaning, and fluffing, and carding, and then it’ll need to be spun! Of what Fun! Have You Ever Spun!?
Dolly, our Babydoll Shetland had her first little Lamb, this Jet Black Ewe Lamb, out on pasture. We discovered them yesterday when we went to do chores. We moved her in a stall, in the barn, and today we did this video showing what a good mom she is. Yesterday she was nursing and caring for her newborn lamb, and today this little lamb is just a bouncing ball of joy! Have a look…
When I was a kid, my Daddy, Vic, had about 30 sheep. Before I come along he had 300 Head, about 125 Cattle, and all the side trimmings! Unfortunately we had to leave our Farm when I was still a child and have always wanted to get back to having sheep. About two weeks ago that dream come true!
We were gifted three beautiful little sheep! I kind of feel like little BoPeep! Meet, Baby, Dolly, and Joe! Joe Joe the name of my Dad’s Ram. Baby is a Purebred with her ear tag, and Dolly and Joe are part Shetland Sheep.
